Perms and Curls

The Return of the Perm!

ALL THE MODERN PERM INSPIRATION YOU’LL EVER NEED

Look no further.

If you haven’t already heard, perms came back in a big way in 2022.

If you’ve been tempted by the idea of a perm to lift your limp locks, but fear for the frizzy, fried mess the treatment once created, then fear not. The perm of 2020 is a much gentler, measured treatment that promises a totally customized curl depending on your desired outcome.

If you’re about to book a perm but haven’t a clue about what particular texture you’re after, then pop in and see the girls at Hair La Natural and the will provide you with all the curly haired inspiration you’ll ever need.

How long can you expect your new curly locks to last? Well that depends on the tightness of the curl you choose. A perm can last anywhere from three to six months. Of course, the tighter the curl is to begin with, the longer the life of your perm will last.

Education on how to look after you new locks and quality home haircare is the key to keeping your tussled hair looking amazing. Our perm check service is great for this, so pop in 2 weeks after your hair perm service, and we can treat the hair to strengthen and moisturize, then finish off helping you with any styling concerns you may have or simply give you some handy tips.

DO… MOISTURIZE & STRENGTHEN YOUR HAIR PRIOR

Try to have your hair in the healthiest condition before you come for a perm treatment. A perm is still a chemical service and will make the hair feel drier, the better condition the hair is in before you start, the better the result.

DON’T… WASH YOUR HAIR IMMEDIATELY AFTER

You CANNOT wash your hair for at least 48 hours following the treatment as this will lead to an uneven result.

DO… BUY PRODUCTS SUITED TO CURLY HAIR

In terms of ongoing treatment, permed hair requires products like that of curly hair. We recommend a good quality shampoo and conditioner and at least 1 moisturizer. These will change with each person depending on hair quality & texture. Also, a curl cream is a great styling aid that will help define the curls and protect against humidity.”

  • Please note from our salon photos, we only dry a fresh perm off to 80% on the first day letting the hair dry naturally the last part, hence all photos looking damp
